According to numerous human behaviourists we are all told “No” and that we can’t do things far more than we are ever encouraged to believe that we can. Whether the reason for the “No” is concern for our safety, denial of an opportunity or just refusal that something can occur repeated negative comments create limiting beliefs and as a result our ability to achieve can be seriously impaired. If we want to succeed then the impetus lies with us to believe in ourselves and to dare to be all that we can.
Today we have been reminded just what can happen when someone really does believe in themselves, in spite of a number of prejudices and with the odds stacked against them, time and time again. There is little more to say but to recommend that you read these wise words from one who genuinely believed in himself and used this self-belief to incredible effect and success. As such he is widely known as the greatest sportsperson of all time … Muhammad Ali.
